  • ◆ Sangharakshita suffered acute urinary retention on Christmas Eve 1986 at Guhyaloka and had to return early to England for an operation.
  • ◆ He spent three months here in summer 1987, three months in 1988, and five-plus weeks in 1990 writing the 'Letter from Spain.'
  • ◆ The valley resembles the Himalayan hills; the community could see the lights of Alicante fifteen to twenty miles away from the shrine-room steps.
  • ◆ Purchased around 1985 through the generosity of Order members; built up by a community-building team.
