- ◆ Also used for the Buddhist Society's fortieth anniversary celebrations, at which Sangharakshita spoke.
- ◆ At the 1965 Wesak, speakers included Sangharakshita, Dr Malalasekera, and Christmas Humphreys (in the chair).
- ◆ Sangharakshita told the audience that in Asia, Wesak was celebrated with great joy, whereas in the West there was generally 'an atmosphere of gravity and seriousness'.
- ◆ The building now survives on Caxton Street, SW1, converted to private residential use.
